Jane’s consultancy work focusses on the verification of EPD and the provision of guidance for the measurement of embodied carbon and environmental impacts in the built environment. This work is intended to contribute to the reduction of embodied carbon.
Jane also spends at least one day a month contributing to industry initiatives with a focus on reducing embodied carbon.
The business also takes the following actions to mitigate its impact:
- Wherever possible, meetings are online rather than face to face, minimising travel impacts.
- Wherever possible, any required long-distance travel is by train, rather than by air.
- Any road travel is by electric car.
- Electricity is purchased from Good Energy.
- The business is almost entirely paperless.
